That’s me, Malcolm Stogo. For the last 25 years, I have been a leader in the field of ice cream and frozen desserts and one of the leading ice cream consultants in the world. I am the author of numerous books on the production and marketing of frozen desserts including ice cream, gelato, sorbets, ice cream cakes, and Italian water ice. These are: How to Succeed In the Incredible Ice Cream Business, Ice Cream and Frozen Desserts: A Commercial Guide to Production and Marketing, and Ice Cream Cakes.
I am the President of Ice Cream University, the educational arm of Malcolm Stogo Associates, with headquarters in Hastings-On-Hudson, New York. Since 1994, Ice Cream University has been conducting ice cream business and hands-on production seminars for individuals who want to enter the ice cream business as well as for advanced ice cream operators and manufacturers. I am founder of the Annual Gelato Tour of Italy, now in its 7th year.
I have worked with major companies such as Haagen-Dazs as well as clients in Mexico, Korea, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, and Argentina. I am recognized by many in the ice cream industry for creating some of the most popular super-premium flavors of ice cream, Italian gelato, frozen yogurt and sorbets sold today, including Cookies & Cream (1976), Snickers (1978), Milky Way (1978), Coconut Almond Joy (1983), Strawberry Cheesecake (1983), Rice Pudding (1998). I also invented the chocolate dipped waffle cone.
